hastily, filling these blanks of this „getting-to-know“
\nlike old friends, who’ve just met
\nand maybe that is why
\nYOU SEE STRAIGHT THROUGH ME<\/p>\n

I’m an open book, while you’re building walls
\nimpregnable
\nexcept for the rare moments when your eyes blink
\nwith desire
\nAND I SEE STRAIGHT THROUGH YOU<\/p>\n

you help me unravel the mystery
\nof self-deceptions
\nand easily
\nwords are floating through the hot summer air
\nlike dragon flies ….<\/p>\n

With you I can stop telling fairy tales
\nno frogs left in this pond worth picking
\nyou’re pointing at them, reminding me, asking:
\n„How many of them have you been kissing?“<\/em><\/p>\n

And after seeing that sparkle in your eyes again, I admit:<\/p>\n

„I am a passionate frog-kisser!“<\/em><\/p>\n

But whatever I kiss,
\nin the end it is always myself that I find within the reflection of the pond.
\nI’m imperfect.
\nI’m shattered.
\nI’m naive.
\nAND YOU SEE STRAIGHT THROUGH ME.<\/p>\n
